The Quality of our Pipes
Sacvin’s PVC pipe standards are based on the following four aspects: fully automated machinery, uninterrupted power, high quality ingredients and compounding.
All the above ensure that Sacvin’s quality standards are maintained and are in line with NIS and SON in Nigeria along with international organisations such as ISO, DIN, and BIS.
The automated machinery to produce the PVC pipes ensures that there is no room for human error and therefore, the quality is maintained and consistent across the products.
Our extrusion machine is run on UPS and is the only one to do so in Nigeria with an unlimited power supply. This means that we are able to run production without any hiccups due to power as well as ensuring perfection in our PVC pipes.
Sacvin believes in purchasing only high quality products to ensure a high quality product is delivered. In addition to that, our compounding machinery ensures that the materials are prepared to the tee and there is no compromise in the mixing of all the ingredients. There is no manual intervention in the process right from the pits to the socketing and hence batch-to-batch consistency is maintained throughout ensuring no variation between the products.
Testing
Our laboratory is designed to detect, reduce and correct deficiencies. Detailed analysis takes place to improve the quality standards of our PVC pipes.
The tests are run at the start of each shift and then continued every hour without any disruption to the production process to ensure high standards are maintained. When new material is loaded or any parameters have been amended in the process, more rigorous tests are carried out to keep consistency.
The machines at Sacvin test for a variety of factors including but not limited to hydrostatic tests, impact tests, and gelation.
